We have a number of tailored programmes to help our clients alleviate and manage stress. Many of us are juggling so many areas of our lives that we don't have time for the things or people that are most important to us. Central to our approach is to look at all areas of your life. We work with our clients in each area to help them achieve balance so they can manage their lives in a stress-free manner. We use a series of tools to:

Identify the real stress triggers

These are different to each individual and may be due to a variety of factors. The first step in managing stress is becoming aware of the actual causes. These may not always be as obvious as one would imagine. We help you in defining what these stressors are.

Examine options to overcome these

We tailor options to help you overcome your specific stress issues. These options will take into consideration all aspects of your life from diet through to career and family.

Implement the plan to manage your stress

Knowing is one thing doing is another. Most of us know what we should be doing but to actually do it is where must of us have difficulty. We provide you with a unique set of customised tools which will enable you to manage your stress long term.

What is stress?

In Ireland today, 30% of us are suffering from stress. Despite all of the advancements in technology from the mobile phone to the car to supposedly make our lives easier, many of us find that we have more to do and less time to do it in than ever before. We're juggling so many things that very often we feel it's getting a little out of control and we're on a non-stop treadmill. In many instances we are either too tired or don't have time for the people or the things which are important to us in life and consequently end up stressed.

Stress is defined as tension created by the response of an individual to the demands placed on them by external and internal environment and the way they cope with these demands. External stress may be caused by work, family, friends or the environment. Internal stress can be caused by self imposed demands that we place upon ourselves. Stress can be both positive and negative. Positive stress can lead to increased productivity, excitement and desire to live. It motivates us to get things done that are important to us. Stress can be negative if it results in lack of focus, impaired judgement, reduced enjoyment, depression, lack of interest, irritability and excessive behaviour or eating & drinking too much. Long term stress can end up with us experiencing difficulty coping with regular daily tasks.
